Annual FortFest to be Held May 9-10, 2015


The annual FortFest will explore anomalous phenomenon this year in Maryland.

Charles Hoy Fort was an American writer and researcher into anomalous phenomena. Today, the terms Fortean and Forteana are used to characterize various such phenomena.

The annual FortFest will be held at the Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Airport Ramada Inn, May 9-10, 2015. It is being sponsored by the International Fortean Organization (INFO),  and is being organized again this year by the amazing efforts of Sue Swiatek.

This years’s FortFest promises to be very exciting, with a number of well know speakers. On Saturday, 9:30am – 5:30pm, these include:

  • George Hansen speaking on the Liminalistic, Post-Structural View of Parapsychology involving ritual

  • John Reed, M.D., speaking on the preservation of parapsychology, anomalistic, and alternative medicine literature collections throughout the world by the World Institute for Scientific Exploration (WISE)

  • Rosemary Guiley’s presentation on “speaking with the dead” with the benefit of the latest technology

  • Bennett Kobb speaking on a Meditation Practice that allows the subject to tune into Heavenly Music

  • Shannon Taggart speaking on the history of ectoplasm and being a photographer
    documenting real psychic events

  • Carl Lehrburger, coming from Denver, will be speaking on his 25 years of research on Ancient America and the odd artifacts that point to numerous cultures throughout the Americas that unnerve conventional historians; and much more.


On Sunday, 12:00-3:00pm, after buffet lunch

Jennifer Stein will present her latest award-winning (EBE) film “Travis”, depicting the life of the world’s most famous abductee, Travis Walton.  Travis, himself, will also be on hand to discuss his UFO encounter and abduction after the screening!
